Filament Rack

The filament rack is the component where the spool holders and filament shortage sensors are installed. It is made of metal with matte paint finish, it is tall, strong and stable for long-term use. In the case of MITO-80 and MITO-120, there are three spool holders and three filament shortage sensors installed on the filament rack, this is more than the common filament rack on market which contains two spool holders and two filament shortage sensors only.

Spool Holder

We can easily know the purpose of this component based on its name, the spool holder is designed to hold the filament spools. It is comprised of a hexagonal rotary shaft and two white knobs. The filament spool is loaded on the rotary shaft between the two white knobs. This special hexagonal design will make the spool holders be rotated smoothly and quietly during the printing. By the way, the white knobs are printed by the 3D sign printer.

Filament Shortage Sensor

The filament shortage sensor is designed to sense the filament is used up or not, if there is no filament in any of the three spool holders, the sensor will alarm and the printing will be stopped automatically, in this case, it can help save the energy and avoid the nozzle jamming.

The printing bed is where the printing occurs, is where the printed product appears. It is comprised of two parts, the aluminium channels and the glass platform, the aluminium channels under the glass platform are for supporting and heating the glass platform, and the glass platform is for the glue spreading and 3D sign printing.

Stepper Motor

Stepper motor is an electrical motor that converts electrical pulses into discrete angular movements. Stepper motors are used in various applications such as 3D printers, medical devices, CNC machines, and robotics. There are 4 stepper motors in total for MITO-80 and MITO-120, a bigger one and three smaller ones, the bigger one is for the X and Y axis, the three smaller ones are for the three extruders on the Z axis.

Cable chain, also known as cable carrier, cable track or drag chain, is a protective covering used to guide and support cables, hoses, and hydraulic lines while in motion to prevent damage and tangles. There are two cable chains for MITO-80 and MITO-120.

Inductive Proximity Sensor

Inductive proximity sensor is a sensing  device that can detect the approach or presence of nearby metal targets without the need for physical contact. There are two inductive proximity sensors for MITO-80 and MITO-120.

Leveling Sensor

Leveling sensor is used for automatic leveling, it helps compensate for bed surface irregularities to achieve better layers during the printing. It is installed next to the nozzle.

Brass Nozzle & Platform Glue

The nozzle is the ultimate component to print the signages and letters, 0.8mm nozzle is used for MITO-80 and MIT0-120. Platform glue is essential for 3D printing as it helps stick the first layer. Good nozzles and good platform glue are very important for the printing quality.

Hot End Heater & Temperature Control Line

The hot end heater is to heat the aluminium block and nozzle, the temperature control line is to control the temperature of aluminium block and nozzle. The two of them cooperate with each other to provide appropriate temperature of 3D printing. Both of them are very important accessories for the hot end.
