Why It Is Needed
Most 3D printing filaments are hygroscopic, meaning they absorb moisture from the air. When the damp filament is heated in the industrial 3D printer’s hotend, the trapped water turns into steam, causing issues like bubbles, rough surfaces, inconsistent extrusion, or weakened parts.
How It Works
The filament dryer for industrial 3D printer consists of a hygrometer and a heated chamber where you can place 3 spools of filament. The chamber uses a RH controller to heat the air inside the filament dryer, gently baking the moisture out of the plastic filament over a set of period. The RH controller has 3 heat settings to match the specific needs of different 3D printing filament (for instance, low heat for PLA, medium heat for PETG-S, high heat for ASA).
Key Functions
Active Drying: It removes existing moisture from a spool of filament before you print with it.
